Thanks to Thanksgiving I found myself at my parents house for the first time in quite a while. Naturally they were interested in what has been keeping me at the office for the occasional long hours and weekends that I had been pulling. I quickly hooked my computer to the television and ran them through four of our projects and found myself extremely happy that I did so.
I’ve been so buried, so heads down in these projects that sometimes I get sucked into the daily grind. Every time that I find myself in this state of mind all it takes to snap me out of it is a laugh, a smile or any other great emotional response from a pair of fresh eyes. This weekend it was my parents talk of how far Dust has come from its original concept and the laughs that Sparty got from my mom and cousin as I demonstrated Spartan Remix.
It’s those fresh eyes that help point out design flaws, uncover bugs and help keep things rolling here at ACG. So, what I’m trying to say is that we should be better at bringing people to the office to do QA for us, not just to assure our quality, but also to insure my sanity.

Guest QA? Sign me up! 😀 (after finals, of course)
